The Cathedral is closed for visitors on: New Year’s Day (1 January), Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday, Easter Sunday, All Saints’ Day (1 November), Christmas Eve (24 December) and Christmas Day (25 December.)

The Cathedral Museum is closed on Sunday and holidays.

AUDIO GUIDE

Every visitor may obtain headphone through which they can hear the speaker talk about the most interesting sites at Wawel Cathedral and the Cathedral Museum.

An audio-guided tour around Wawel Cathedral and up the Sigismund Bell tower takes around 30 minutes, the Royal Tombs 10 minutes, and the Cathedral Museum around 20 minutes.

Organized groups can rent a wireless tour guide system, i.e. a system where every tourist can hear their tour guide across the Cathedral over the headphones. The system works best with larger groups, in particular 30 people or more, ensuring clear transmission and great comfort for both the tourists and their tour guide.
