The Cathedral is closed for visitors on: New Year’s Day (1 Jan.), Good Friday, Holy Saturday, Easter Sunday, All Saints’ Day (1 Nov.), Christmas Eve (24 Dec.) and Christmas Day (25 Dec.)

The Cathedral Museum is closed on Sundays and holidays.

The Archdiocesan Museum is closed on Mondays.

 

AUDIO GUIDE

The lecturer talks about the most interesting places in the Wawel Cathedral and about the collections of the Cathedral Museum. The audio guide is available in several language versions: Polish, English, Czech, French, Spanish, German, Russian, Slovak, Hungarian, Italian and Ukrainian.

An audio-guided tour around Wawel Cathedral and up the Sigismund Belltower takes around 40 minutes, the Royal Tombs 10 minutes, and the Cathedral Museum around 20 minutes.

Organized groups can rent a wireless tour guide system, i.e. a system where every tourist can hear their tour guide across the Cathedral over the headphones. The system works best with larger groups, in particular, 30 people or more, ensuring clear transmission and great comfort for both the tourists and their tour guide.
